1. The project-oriented version of the .NET Framework is required to run your solution on the end user's computer. For example, if the project targets the .NET Framework 3.5, the .NET Framework 3.5 is required for the end-user computer. In this example, if the .NET Framework 4 is only installed on the end user's computer, your solution will not run.
2. In this scenario, it will only function correctly in the 2007 Microsoft Office System if the solution does not use new features in Office 2010.
Avoid errors when installing and using different office versions on the same computer
If you are going to install this method, what should you do before the preparation?
If you want to install and run multiple versions of Office on the same PC, here are some tips to help you avoid most installation errors:
In most cases, you cannot run Office 2016 and Office 2013 on the same computer. Except for Office installed using MSI.
In Office 2016, some Office 2013 stand-alone applications cannot run on the same computer, and you may see this error if you try to install Office 2016: "Stop and you should wait to install Office 2016." A separate 2013 application (such as Word 2013) is installed on the computer, but this may happen when an updated version of the application (Word 2016) is already included in the Office 2016 suite you are trying to install. In this case, the standalone version of Word 2013 will be removed.
However, if a stand-alone 2013 application (such as Project 2013) is installed on the computer and the application is not part of the Office 2016 suite you are trying to install, the 2016 suite will be successfully installed and the installed Project 2013 will remain on the computer.
Using multiple versions of Office on a version of Windows that has Remote Desktop Services (RDS) enabled is not supported.
First install the earlier version of Office. For example, install Office 2010 before installing Office 2016 (or Office 2013).
Make sure that all versions of Office are 32-bit or 64-bit. You cannot install both at the same time.
Please note that even if these recommendations are adopted, you may still encounter problems when using two versions of Office on the same PC. If you decide to keep both versions differently, to uninstall the lower version, you may need to repair the retained version to ensure that the file association works.
